This is a great op/ed piece from Library Journal regarding the cuts to higher education and how making students pay for “extra” services could possibly even come down to the library level. Pay to use the computer? Pay for every book checked out after 5 books?
As someone starting graduate school this fall with a husband getting his own graduate degree in economics, it certainly makes me wonder how soon until colleges like mine own start adopting the airplane baggage method.

That’s disgusting. This does even more to tie one’s GPA to one’s socioeconomic status.
